Masks

Acrylic on canvas · 90 × 100 cm · 2025
Masks explores the face as a place where identity is formed, concealed and transformed. The mask becomes a persona: a surface offered to others, but also a way of approaching what remains unfamiliar within the self.
Drawing on psychoanalytic ideas and the ritual presence of masks in ancient and traditional cultures, the works move between portrait and imagined figure. Watercolour, ink, tempera, pastel and acrylic allow faces to emerge, overlap and dissolve, keeping the boundary between the visible and the concealed open.
